This place is great. Never had a bad time, even when the music is terrible. I have had a couple of (very) poorly made margaritas, but not so bad as that I'd hold it against them (plus, they got re-made each time - with a little arm twisting - after I mentioned it to them). Granted, I do have a soft spot for any bar that has a shuffleboard table and an outside area.

It's been a while since I've been anywhere, so my review may be rigged by the fact that I've had cabin fever and going out by itself is already an adventure that gets at least two stars. Here is why this place deserved another two: - Super easy entry, I know a promoter here so it's always good to go in without having to hustle. No big crowds outside, just a bunch of guys suffering the usual guy-bias. - Pretty big club, with two dance floors. The upstairs dance floor is where the action is. - The music is pretty good (but not great), a nice variety of a bunch of things. - The drinks (my favorite and most judged-by part) are quality sized. Grey goose shot was more like a shot and a half and cost 12 bucks. Not too bad. - Nicely-sized outside patio where non-smokers like me and my friends turn into smokers just because it's cool. - Two bathrooms (upstairs and downstairs), so the wait is a little less excruciating than usual.

I have been to Parish about 4 times now - 3 for dinner dining and once for lunch in the adorable cafe downstairs. My first experience was a good one, I had the hanger steak and it was ah-mazing. The second time, the veggie etouffee was dry but tasty. An overpriced sandwhich that was delicious for lunch and most recently, the prefix menu for Inman Park Restaurant week. My problem with Parish is not the food - it is generally tasty, albeit a bit expensive, but the serving sizes make the price tag more palatable...haha no pun intended. My issue is the SLOW service. Every time I visit this place I am there for over 2 hours. I am not one to sit, inhale and leave - but I finished a glass of wine that I was sipping before the soup even arrived. This was after we waited close to 30 minutes after our 8:30 reservation was made that we arrived to at 8:15. Overall - good food but expect to wait....
