The patio was packed, but we really wanted a table out there so we waited a while, got some drinks at the bar and were seated as soon as space opened up. There were plenty of tables inside and the space is lovely. The food was not what we expected, but not unenjoyable - for instance the quesadilla special was more like an empanada. The sopes were pretty bland, and the steak marinade had a funny taste to it. I've only ever had sopes at bone garden on the westside, and I prefer those. We were splitting dishes and sharing all the food, and the kitchen went ahead and divided portions onto separate plates for us, so bonus for them! There are very few vegetarian or non-fried options on the menu. I'm pretty sure the special was actually the only vegetarian option. Chips, salsa and queso were pretty standard, guacamole was flavorful, but not the best around. Service was fantastic, from everyone we encountered. It was a little pricey, so it won't be a regular place for dinner, but we'll definitely be back for drinks on the patio.
by Errol Lundi on A hangover brunch is one thing, but a hangover Valentine's Day lovefest brunch is a totally different beast. Our lady-filled table ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, the huevos rancheros (more like huevos nachos), the mushroom omelet, and the Hollandaise/salmon omelet, the Silk salad, and a side of potatoes. It must have been complete serendipity though because just as I was telling my friends about my Pimm's Cup craving, there it was, featured on the cocktail specials. Despite it being decent, it's no Honey's.
