As a Buckhead local, Fado is essentially my home away from home. It's a great place to pop in for a drink any day of the week, and I'm particularly fond of catching sporting events here. I've been to a number of World Cup parties, happy hours, and St. Patty's Day here, and they were all a blast accompanied by good food and drink. The wait staff is very friendly, and if you're having a group event here, they go out of their way to accommodate. Wednesday nights are a favorite as some buddies and I will often stop by to try our hand at what I think is the toughest trivia in town. It's nice that the host, Rob, is entertaining even on the nights when you're just getting your butt handed to you. Still, can't think of a better way to end hump day than with a nice, tall pint and a few laughs with some friends.

I went on Sunday, day before memorial day. To be honest it was aight...I've definitely been to better places, the music was top 40s, but if you ever have to pay, walk away. Definitely a mixed crowd, however not that many cuties at all and a whole lotta busters!!! There was probably around 30 people there at 11:30, and grew to maybe 50 by midnight, and that was it!! Check out other places because there are so many better clubs around. The ONE GOOD THING, the place has seating all around and you don't have to have bottle service to sit, so hey!! that's nice, other than that....blah!!

I really enjoyed it. The flavors were like nothing I'm used to, and at times I wasn't sure what I was eating, but there was nothing that I really didn't like. For apps, we had the fried cauliflower which was salty and delicious; the watermelon and feta, which was a strange flavor pairing, but I really enjoyed it; some sort of phyllo thing with mushrooms in it, which was very good, but the least exotic thing we ate; and raw/rare sturgeon which was...interesting. I had the eggplant as my meal, which was also interesting, but good. It had kind of a smoky flavor to it, and was topped with a yummy white sauce and served over risotto. My friend had the chicken, which was on the dry side, but good otherwise. The hummus was the best I've ever had - extremely creamy and delicious. Our waitress tried to explain why it was different than your average hummus, but she lost me pretty quickly. For dessert I had the chocolate semifreddo - a cross between mousse and ice cream, which was extremely rich and absolutely amazing. My friend had the baklava, which had a cinnamon flavor to it and was also very good. Overall, I'm glad I went. I don't know that I'll rush back because it's not the kind of food I'd want to eat all the time, but definitely worth checking out.
