Long wait for a table. Our waiter saw that we looked unhappy, smiled to reassure us that better times were ahead & said" IT'S ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE!!" He was right. Food was just "alright, but salty" . We were treated like cattle. For $140 (for 2) on NYC Restaurant Week, it should have been much better.

Interesting. This venue seems to have a cult following but I have to be a bit more critical. Shows here can either be great or crappy acoustically. Really weird. And the food -- wow. You'd think if you got a table, came an hour before the show to order you might be able to finish eating earlier. Nope. I think it take upwards of an hour and a half to get our food. An absolute record of any place anywhere. I'm giving 3 stars since the waitress was super nice and apologetic but how disorganized of a kitchen can you run? I mean there are only like 10 tables in this place max and all the food is super simple. I do like the decor and the idea of going underground to enjoy a show. But that eating experience really changed my opinion of this place overall. Sorry.

i walked into this place and got lost a half a second later. when asking where to go i was directed by a generous finger point by numerous people through what felt like 12 different rooms until finally finding where i needed to be. This is a shady place with an "interesting" looking crowd. maybe it was the night i went on but thank god i was with a group. Also the drinks were way too overpriced and it was uncomfortably hot inside. However the band i saw that night, !!! (chk chk chk), kicked ass and the sound system was actually awesome. I was totally into the balcony overhead that was filled with people rocking out. Leaving was another adventure by getting lost again. This place had too many rooms dammit!! i walked into a bachelorette party with half naked men on stage. Stopped to stare... then left ;) So my words of advice for this place is to dress light, go with a group, pregame before hand and if you like the band your seeing, you should enjoy yourself. Sky*
