Geno's, in their fluorescent, immigrant-hating "SPEAK ENGLISH" glory, has crappy and overpriced food, as it happens. As a resident of Geno's block for three years, I can easily tell you that this place is a hypocrisy in one of the most diverse parts of the city. Every so often, it is host to 'Big Talker' radio and hateful anti-immigration protests where klan members are often in attendance.
by Eddy Pulley on We went on a Thursday night and there is a private event that is going on. I really wish they announce people on their website that the venue is closed for the public. The securities and the door man were extremely nice to us (but still.... didn't let us in). We went to Mood instead.... and that will be another review. Overall this club is all about the hype.... from the show "The Hills". Honestly, I don't understand what's the big deal out of it... Yeah... As a L.A. locals I have been to most of the hit clubs in town. Frankly the best party city would be Vegas (highly recommend Moon at the Palm's). Remember, what happened in Vegas, stayes in Vegas....
by CJ J. on King King... Very interesting and odd @ the same time. Electronica club. Do not come in hootchie heels. How are you going to dance????? We went on a Friday or Saturday (I think it was Saturday) to see one of our friend's friends' spin. I liked the venue. It's small but not too small. I really like the high ceilings. It has a red, asian theme (chineseey) and it's REALLY dark inside. Our friend was spinning some good ish so it was fun. My girls and I were dancing and getting naughty in the booths. hahaha... always a good time. Odd thing with King King is that it's so red and dark inside it makes you do 1 of 2 things. Either makes you want to do really bad things because it brings out the dark side OR it makes you want to dance for a while, do bad things for a sec, and then leave cuz it's overwhelming. It was #2 for me. We didn't stay too long but it was fun while it lasted. Parking was fine, but getting OUT of the parking lot was a mission. Well my wifey was driving in the huge LS so that was issue #1. But then we couldn't get out of the friggin lot! O wells... we eventually got out of there and hit up Circus. hehe Pros: Dark, Naughty, venue... Cool peeps. Interesting dancers. Nice bouncers. Good music. Booths available. Cons: Dark, Naughty venue. haha... Parking.
