by Fernando Julia on I am reviewing Bongos the restaurant, not the nightclub (same place, different times). I went to Bongos for a friend's birthday dinner and we stayed for the nightclub. We sat upstairs since we were a big group, 10-plus, and had good service. The place is real loud and we did have to yell a lot but hey, it's latin themed so it's going to be loud. The food was average. I had grilled lemon chicken which I thought was delicious, but the rice and plantain were okay. Nothing special though. I asked around how others enjoyed their meal and did not get anything more than "It was pretty good". So as a restaurant, Bongos gets 3 stars. It's okay, but nothing special. After eating we walked downstairs and Bongos the restaurant was now a night club. That's a whole different story. We partied and had a great time. That's for another review though.
by Charles F. on For those that compare Flip Burger to Five Guys - STOP THE MADNESS. It's like comparing comparing a bottle of Dom Perignon to a bottle of Korbel. The physical size of the burger looks small but the meat is pretty thick. Flip burger is at least 1/4 pound mixture of 3 different types of beef. The quality of the buttery toasted bun is much superior than the typical burger joints. The toppings are fresher. If taste is how you judge a burger as opposed to size and greasiness, then Flip Burger is the burger of choice. The parking situation is a little challenging. I've been here three times and each time I had to circle the joint several times to get a parking spot. They have overflow parking across the street next to an auto shop but it still isn't enough. To avoid this situation plan on arriving before or after the peak lunch hours of 12:00 - 1:30
