by Cindy T. on Came here with my friends on a Thursday night. I guess it's a little different because it wasn't what we anticipated Trinity to be like. Walking in, is a small room with a full bar and some stools across the wall. There is a DJ playing music who is located at the top in this box. Next, there are two dance rooms. The red room-that was playing techno/house, and the blue room-that was playing even heavy techno. I don't mind the music...but I wish they could have one of the rooms be current smash hits! Not the best day of the week to come. Cons: -One type of music playing (techno & techno in both dance rooms) -Minimal crowd, not packed, not crowded=dead -No re-entry, have to get your card scan every time you go in and out -The $1 shots they have available tastes like juice -Only Thursdays have free cover Pro: -Two types of dance floors, with color theme -Back area for seating/booths Probably would come back if I get in without cover on a crackin' weekend. (i.e. some celeb or guest)
by Doreen X. on It feels like pre-Lehman 2008 at Avenue. Sparklers for bottles? Check. Impossibly thin models? Check. Ropes that part only for models or bottles? Check. Inside, revelers fight to part with their money; the bottles can't come fast enough. This is an intimate room packed wall-to-wall with intense energy that bounces with the beat as if it's the final hurrah. Be reckless now--deal with the consequences later. Tomorrow, when we recover from the devastating crash, we'll reminisce about how nonchalant we once were . . .
