Love love love Zahav. I went here for my birthday a few months back and was treated to the tasting menu. Each dish that came out ended up being better than the last. However, the dessert was almost unnecessary; I was so ridiculously full that I couldn't justify eating the good, but unmemorable dish. Highlights: - Salatim: absolutely fantastic. Do. Not. Pass. This. Up. The salads were all unique and flavorful, but the one that really sticks out in my mind was the beet salad. Yum! - Hummus: the hummus was delicious, but the bread used for dipping honestly was what really made my taste buds happy - Fried Cauliflower: Probably the only time in my life I've enjoyed eating cauliflower - The Farsi: Wow. By the time we got to this, I was already full, but still fought my boyfriend for the last bit of it. Seasoned and cooked perfectly The service here is amazing as well. Very professional and attentive. I don't exactly understand the safari-looking garb, but hey, whatever floats Zahav's boat. I plan on taking advantage of the wonderful happy hour Zahav offers too: $3 wine and beer and half price hummus. woo hoo!

3 Stars Showed up late and ended up in line for longer than I wanted (5-10 min). Inside was packed! All our friends were in the room in front of the stairs, and there was a waitress (Sarah?) taking drink orders....good because it was impossible to swim thru that crowd to get to the bar. The waitress was real cool, and 1/2 of the guys (the single ones) in our group were jockin her. Drinks were ok, but nothing special. Music was pretty good.......they played different music in the different rooms from what I remember. Crowd was mostly asian, good looking, and cool. Security was courteous Parking wasn't a problem, but we didn't really know where this place was so we ended up parking kinda far. The band knew how to work the crowd and even brought some girls on stage to dance for the crowd. I'm sure we'll end up back here again......

The only real reason I see going here is the setting - it looks cool. I went here with a party of 10 and we got to sit by the big Buddha. The table was cool b/c it had a glass top over a pool of water that contained rose petals and candles floating on it. Overall, it was a pretty impressive setting. But the food was nothing to write home about. We had some a mixed dessert plate and they brought out chocolate Buddhas. Now, I'm not a Buddhist but isn't eating a chocolate Buddha a bit offensive? You'd never see a restaurant offering chocolate crosses or a chocolate baby Jesus would you?
