by Adrien Ashdown on Delux is by far one of the best beer and burger spots in the valley. I recommend getting a classic with double applewood smoked bacon and cheddar. Add a mini-shopping cart filled with sweet potato and regular fries and you have the perfect cure for previous evening overindulgences! As an added bonus, Delux is currently featuring Lagunitas Brown Shugga' on tap, which is an amazing american strong ale.
by Genese S. on First time at this club, and it was WORTH every hundred spent!! Went out saturday night and my friend was the one that took us here... I guess he used to know the old owners, so that is why he wanted to take us here. Although I hated the fact the cover was $30 per person, we did not have to wait in line outside because we were a group of really beautiful women plus one great looking guy. :) Dressing classy and looking good really does have it's advantages. :) Asked the bouncer at the front what time the club was open until (since we got there shortly after midnight ) and he said 8 am. Score!! Not that we were really going to party until 8 am, but it was still refreshing to hear... especially after we just paid $30pp. Went inside and hit the first small bar to the right inside the club. Good looking bartenders, and very personable... which was an A++ in my eyes. Drinks were pricey, but who really cares. That is to be expected anytime you go out. I liked that we got our drinks right away. So after we got our drinks... headed into the main room. Place was PACKED with people. Club reminded me of Rain in Las Vegas. Was not really crazy about the sweat box on the main floor, so we used our good looks and charm with the bouncer to get us upstairs and away from all the madness. The bouncer told me I smelled like cotton candy and immediately lifted the rope and let us all upstairs. We got our dance on until about 4 am and the music was bumpin'. They had a female dj (not really sure who she was and I usually know my dj's), she was playing the old school house beats that took me back about ten years ago. LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! The bouncers there were all SUPER NICE, not your typical asshole bouncers... that was even more of an A+++. Have nothing but GREAT things to say about this place... want to go back again and again (even though my lifestyle will not allow it). I will get back there again soon!! Thanks Avalon... I LOVE YOU and I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!!! Mwah. :)
by Chris H. on i hate to make this my first review. but really, the hard ones are the easiest (and shortest) to write. this place is made for people who equate price with quality. probably caters to people from jersey. fortunately, i can say that i was not there by choice, but for an alumni function.
