by Shenita Minrod on The service is attentive, the lighting is super-flattering, the music is always up-to-date, the atmosphere is a perfect We haven't been to Ruby Skye I'm a few years and I was curious to see if they were still as good as ever. And they actually were even better than I remembered. The appetizers were very good and the flavors exciting. The entrees were just as flavorful. The service was very professional and friendly. we were taken good care of thanks to the attentive bartender. We will be back more often and next time we'll make reservations, but stop first for a drink at the bar
by Karena Q. on I've been here 3 or 4 times since moving to San Francisco and am absolutely in love with the Pescado taco. I'm usually not a fried fish taco fan, but they fry that fish like no other! It's light and crispy (hate a soggy breaded fish) and the toppings complement it wonderfully! I've had the Pescado Nick's way (w/a crispy tortilla, guac and jack cheese) and regular - theyr'e both great depending on your mood. Not into fish? I thought the Carnitas taco was pretty good too, except I prefer it regular...the cheese was overkill.
by Joyce S. on It's sad that a restaurant this big and so nicely designed inside sucks so much. I went here with a 10-person group on like a Tuesday night. The restaurant wasn't at all near capacity (maybe 25-30% full), and yet, it took literally an hour *after* we'd already gotten our appetizers for them to bring out our entrees. The entrees were glaringly late (we were all grumbling about hunger pangs), and when my salmon arrived, I found it dry and not well seasoned. I barely have the patience to wait for really great food in NYC, let alone for mediocrity.
