NYC staple for anyone even remotely interested in electronic music. It was great when it was slightly more intimate in size, but the newest renovations added some much-needed additional seating for your tired feet and gave an upgrade to the sound system. Good, strong drinks served by friendly, efficient bartenders. Of the many times I've gone, the crowd, whether sparse or packed and sweaty, was always up for dancing. Which ain't ever a bad thing. 4 stars because: 1. The cover can be a bit on the pricier side depending on the night/promoter. 2. The coat check boy automatically deducted his tip from everyone's change - no really he said "$4 for the coat and $1 for the tip" and put my buck in his tip bucket. Sucks for him cuz he woulda made an extra buck or two from me if he hadn't been so presumptuous. 3. The past two times I've went, the women's bathroom was overflowing with...well you can guess. Fix that shit and get the 5th star!

Hot, crowded, banging. The people were relatively attractive, the drinks I didn't sample much of since I was just drinking beer, but the prices were fair (3$ for a bud light I think). There was a dj this Saturday who bounced between awesome and terrible like an epileptic seizing on the Disneyland Teacups. He did however playing "Step For Love/Chocolate Factory" by R. Kelly at one point. He also allowed me to lead the dance floor on his stage in singing along to the entire 7 minute Opus, along with dance steps. I also got some people to throw up a C for my Chicago peeps who were in the house. I wasn't here for very long, but I liked what I saw a lot, would definitely trek back. They have at least 3 distinct rooms, with dancing in the back room, seemingly chilling in the middle one, and lots of socializing talking along this LOOOONG counter through the middle in the front room with booth and tables on each side. IT was really pretty cool actually. Check it!

Yeah I've been here a few times. It's your average 20's to 30's Manhattan bar - nothing too special. But I must say I tend to have luck talking to cool people there, so, maybe there's something about it.
