by danielle l. on Silverlake? Who is calling a block away from ECHO PARK, Silverlake? Anyway, this wonderful place is a block from where I live. I love their wine selection although there aren't many, the ones they do have are deeeeelicious. Beer? I love beer. I had Eagle Rock's Red Velvet on tap here. I loved it. I love the owner. I love the cat that comes in the bar. I love that it isn't Lupita's Bar anymore. I don't really love the kind of odd feeling I get while waiting alone for the restroom, but it's not that big a deal. I do have my issues with the hipsters that are taking over everything in the 90026 but I never feel uncomfortable here. Never ever ever. I once went in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Not that you should do that, but I did it. It's just a little small and boy does it get hot in there! But it's a bar!!!! A real life bar! Not a bar/club! It's just lovely :)
by Luis M. on I had dinner at Morimoto and this was definitely the highlight of my trip to Philly! Sushi bar was clean, and the food was incredible. This is definitely a place to take your significant other for a nice dinner. Bring money though! Well worth it though! The staff here were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I left a comment card and was surprised to receive a personalized "Thank You for dining with us" card from the server the following week!! Very nice touch! I recommend sitting at the sushi bar, watching the sushi experts at work is truly an experience!
