One of my favorite spots in SF. I've been here for a good number of events, most recently this Wednesday for The Neighborhood. Great music, and a good variety too. It can get packed here depending on what's going on but it's fairly easy to move around. Have gone here and never have felt disappointed with the experience. Maybe just finding parking? In any case, a good place to party!

You know how you're dating a guy, and you kind of like him, but you're not sure why, and you're not really sure how you feel so you go to your friends and they're all, "Girrrrrrrrrl, make a list, write down what you like about him and what you don't like about him and see how you feel." This is my Trudy's list. Sports bar feel? Turn off. College-bro hangout? Turn off. Calorie-riffic-terrifying-burgers-and-Tex-Mex food? Turn off. Dieting for days then eating my own weight in chips and salsa while pounding Mexi-Mart's like there's no tomorrow then wondering why the diet isn't working and later discovering margaritas are about 350-500 calories a pop? That too, was a major Trudy's turn off. The things I have done after 2 Mexican Martinis (and I will neither confirm nor deny having occasionally snuck in 3)? Turn off to all involved and all who've ever born witness despite my insistence it was a turn-on. Occasionally exceptional service but tempered with loads of new college faces that forget things like forks and your drink order? Also, Trudy's... Turn off. Now. Wonderful balcony that breezes just right in the summer time? Turn-on. A few seasoned excellent staffers? Turn-on. Great prices and wonderful happy hour specials practically daily? Turn-on. Vegetarian friendly? Turn-on. New drink involving platinum tequila and fresca that tastes like a delicious sugar-free margarita and I don't mean no die-a-rita like the kind I once made myself with Crystal Light? Maje. Turn. On. I guess things will work out with Trudy's and me after all. I mean, my friends love him, everyone's always hanging out... sure he's a bit of a dude-brah but he's an alright guy. Let the summer patio romance commence.

Great small venue! I saw the Arcade Fire here back in January 2005, and it was AMAZING! Space is pretty big, but it feels like you're right next to the band! I didn't think much of Arcade Fire, until I stood by the stage and watched those guys go completely nuts! Also, on a practical note, big garage diagonally across the street - that never hurts in SF!
