I stayed here a couple christmases ago...it was empty because who stays in a hotel over xmas anyway? The service was great, I loved the lobby and pool area (although cold). The room was nice and the outdoor patio area was fun. It felt lonely but then again, it was the time of year. I liked walking around Hollywood as if I were a tourist. I'd stay here again if it wasn't so full of tourists. Oh, parking is expensive. But their restaurant (25 degrees) has some of the best onion rings I've ever had. Skip the grilled cheese though.

We really came here for the buttermilk fried chicken, and yes, it was really good. Flavorful, crispy skin that stayed that way in spite of the biscuits and gravy overflowing the plate. The collards were done competently. A great meal in itself....but for $16+? That's almost twice the amount a similar meal would be at any other "Southern" kitchen-type of place. Yes yes, I know it's mid-town and therefore 'trendy and hip' (and probably a decent size mortgage/lease), but I'll gripe about prices anyway. I think this place is worth coming back to, but only to treat out-of-town (I've never had southern fried chicken before) friends.

I was only here for drinks in the upstairs bar. This location is a little cooler than the Olde City based on the interior. It's also much bigger. The upstairs bar is pretty big. The night we went wasn't very busy so we were able to have conversations. There were these odd chairs that looked like stuffed animals that were pretty interesting. I'd definitely come back here for drinks with friends.
