by Fidela Summey on This is definitely one of my favorite bars in Philadelphia. There is something happening every night of the week, the drinks are cheap, and the food is awesome! The crowd is always a good mix of old and young and the music caters to all tastes. The Faux Pas party every First Friday is always a blast. And as someone has already mentioned, the bathrooms are clean AND private! They've even recently added "Occupied" signs when the door locks, eliminating the awkward knock and doorknob jiggle you often must engage in at lesser bars. The veggie burger is one of the best I've ever had, and I consider myself a veggie burger connoisseur.
by Jessica J. on Good Ethiopian food, not very spicy. I actually kind of crave the veggie combo when my stomach's a bit upset. It's all-you-can-eat, but I never make it far past the first platter. They no longer allow you to get refills of the mushrooms, which is the best part of the veggie combo IMO. I guess everyone else thought so, too, and they couldn't keep up with demand. So the first portion of mushrooms is tiny, and you don't get to restock. Boo! Minus one star for that. It's got a full bar, which used to be a rarity in the neighborhood until Nopa and Madrone came along. Now, not so much. Cheaper drinks than Nopa's, though.
