by Massiel O. on Let me start by saying that it's not worth a cover charge - go online and get on their "rsvp" list and pay $0. I was looking for a Friday night place to go to with some friends but where I didn't necessarily have to dance w them all night! Columbus 72 didn't exactly fit my needs as the crowd was much older than I expected (30+) and not many of the guys that did pull me out to dance could dance spanish music. If you can't dance salsa, then you shouldn't be asking a random stranger out to dance... I'm sorry, but its complete torture to have to dance salsa like a fool!! Oh btw, both DJs sucked. The latin dj would play 15 songs of salsa, then 15 of merengue, then 15 of bachata. Come on dude! Ever heard of mixing?! Apparently the situation in the hip hop room was worse bc no one was dancing, although quite full. In the end, had an ok time because I went with a group of friends. Probably not a good idea to come here to dance with others...
by EPI O. on I was recently here and this is what my opinion is: Pros: -Next to the capito - close to downtown. -Parking -Large place -Patio -Cheap drink night -Pool tables & TV Cons: -Tiny dance floor -yucky dancers -Jaimie the drag queen -have to buy 3 cheap drinks to equal 1 good one. -Under dressed people.
by Tristan Ciers on local feel with homely pricing...medium in size with dancefloor present..starting weekend early....thursday night toast to survival....dismal lonely start at first....mostly empty the earlier part of the night.....drinkin' $two pabst...other $five special offerings available...don't ask why....picking multiple fernet shots to down....enjoying company of both early shift and late bartenders for the night.....quite friendly...funny...ten p.m. strikes and beats spinning....crowds rolling on in.....dancing, drinking, dancing, drinking...............dancing, drinking, dancing............zzz.zz.zzzz.zz.......*beep beep beep*...snaps~!...next day morning...ouch!@~#@!#......head...hurting...help.. .off to work...vertigo a dream?...
