Very impressive Club Vegas. The people are laid back and not pushy at all. I feel like the owners have done an exceptional job of making everyone feel welcome - newbies and all. The club is also kept clean (including the bathrooms) which is a huge plus.

the wcl's sound quality is probably the best you can find in phila -- but the visual aesthetics leave something to be desired. can't quite put my finger on it, but both upstairs and downstairs feel 'adult contemporary' (hotel decor, dinner tables...ugh), which is too much for me to stomach. i used to go to shows in friends' basements. i may be in my 30s now and possess a retirement plan, but i'm not quite ready to rock out with my veggie burger in a cushioned booth. in any case, the french fries are tasty and the beer list is decent, so if you find yourself there, enjoy the tunes, vittles, and drink...just keep your eyes shut.

Mint is a an ultra secret lounge and hookah bar right next to Desta. Yes, I know you thought, like I, that the place next door was a bakery, which is what the sign portrayed it as. In actuality, it is a very nice lounge and the bakery sign overhead is now gone. Walk through the opaque double doors and you will be inside a very stylish lounge. Lots of nooks for gathering a group and smoking on the hookah. They have a good selection of liquor, while the beer selection is just decent. They have the requisite beers but nothing too fabulous. Not sure about their hookah since I don't smoke but the people who were there to smoke seemed to be enjoying it.

Went here on a Saturday Night..pretty neat concept with the private pink booths with full waiter service saves on having to go to the bar each time, However..this is definitely a club for the 18-25 age group ha! My husband and I are in our early 30s..and felt REALLY out of place! Music a bit too loud for my taste too.
