medjool is that place you go when you want to dance it out - the music is always pretty good, it's always going to be hot and crowded, and there will always be someone willing to buy you one of their somewhat overpriced drinks. however, whether or not you have a good time i think is inversely proportional to how much interaction you have with the staff - the bouncers charge $10 cover to everyone, all the time - except according to their website they're not supposed to charge cover until 10:30. my roommate actually caught this one time and pointed out to the guys at the door that it was only 10:15, and she got in without paying cover. so know the rules or you'll get scammed. the rest of the staff is without exception rude and self-important. i would probably go here a lot more often if they could get some staff that weren't such assh---well, you know what i mean.

I visited this place on a Saturday night. I was invited by a friend and her husband. I guess her husband knows people here or has major juice because there was a line and we didn't have to wait, not to mention they showed us to our table brought on the Goose! The music was off the hook! I never danced so much in my life. I had a grand ol time with my friends. I liked the crowd, it was a good mix of people, I like that a lot. I don't like to go to club that do not have diversity. There were no haters just a bunch of people having a great time. I liked the lay out of the club and colors. I would say the only draw back was that the crowd was mid twenties and I'm early 30's, but i still had a great time. Verdict: I will return =)

A nightmare for music lovers. As I write this I am sitting crammed into a 2'x4' table with five other random patrons forced to listen to their constant chitter chatter, the clang and crunches of their salads, subjected to the constant overpowering stench of smelly food. And I was one of the lucky ones... half of the audience is meatpacked into a remote annex next to the bar with little or no hope of ever catching sight of our performer, Cassandra Wilson, who didn't show up on stage until 50 minutes after the show's scheduled start time. For this privilege I paid $60 with $5 off my first overpriced drink, disguised as $55 plus $5 drink minimum. And this is not the first time I have let myself be subjected to this experience. Perhaps next time I will know better.
