Last night I checked out my homie DJ Sake 1 at Pacific Standard Time and I was highly impressed at the crowd it drew for a Tuesday night. Stef, when are you coming to Chicago and bringing that kind of a crowd with you??? Anyway, the space was nice, the bartenders were excellent - they poured good drinks and they were friendly, and there was lots of room to dance. I got my groove on to some funky Senegalese jams. 330 Ritch embodies my ideal San Francisco clubbing experience and I'd be lucky to get that kind of a good crowd in Chicago on a Friday night let alone Tuesday night.

This place is great for dancing, but that's about it. The "cuban cuisine" is rather 'blah'; there is better cuban cuisine to be had at other establishements such as Versailles or some of the other smaller cuban restaurants in the city. Drink are expensive (well drinks are $12) and come in some of the smallest plastic cups I have ever seen. This place really comes alive around 10:00pm with a live salsa band that plays till 12am; a dj spins from there 12am on. The music is great as is the dancing. Really makes you forget how mediocre dinner service is. The decor is also pretty cool; very tropical...lots of pineapple and bongo themes. A tip: The cover is $20/person, but you can avoid this by gettting there before 9:30p and just hanging out at the bar...use those 20 dollars there.

[This review is only about the club.] Oh HELL NO. Why is this place still open. How is this place still open. Don't go. Unless you're between the ages of 18-22. (Note: This is a 21+ establishment. Yes, the age range is correct.) If you are really craving ghetto or college kids, at least go somewhere entertaining so that you & your posse can laugh at the asinine shenanigans and the fools who execute these shenanigans. At Jillian's, you'll just wonder why, WHY, did you throw away your hard-earned $$ at a club in the Metreon. You're paying to go to a club in, like, a shopping center + movie theatre on steroids.
