Maybe I'm biased because I love hanging out in the Mission so much. This place is just all-round good times. I've been several times on random weeknights and only twice on the weekend. Brunos is everything that sums up the Mission; the crowd is unpretentious, the drinks are in the decent price range, you don't have to fight through crazy crowds, and they serve food! Each room has it's own vibe. I love the back room when they have live music. The front room is cool is cool for just chillin. And that cozy middle area is awesome if you need a little quiet. Here's the one thing I will say though: I've never been on a night when I've had to pay a cover. I would never pay a cover. I think that's SOOOO lame for the Mission. With that said, have fun!

The Good: - The Atmosphere The Mediocre: - Drinks: I had a mojito. It came in a HUGE glass but it was not particularly yummy. The Bad: - Food: I know the main attraction of this place is not food, but still, they could have done better. The mini-spring rolls and the stuffed mushrooms were okay, but the fries were soggy, the burgers had no toppings to go with them, the pizza was way too salty and the chicken fingers were too dry. - SERVICE: This is the part where I have the most complaints about. If I could bold the word service here I definitely would have. We had the lanes reserved from 6:30 to 9, and literally at exactly 9PM our games were cut off right in the middle. The worse part was that 2 staff members came over immediately and asked us to leave asap because some other party is coming. Then we found out that a person in our group lost his cell phone. While we were all trying to look for his phone, the staff members were not accomodating at all. They kept trying to usher us out of the place and were not concerned with the lost phone at all. When we decided to leave, we were NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE ELEVATOR! Apparently it's reserved for people coming in only!??! We had to go out the back door and down 4 flights of stairs. WTF Unless bowling's your life I wouldn't really recommend this place...

The service was crap and the food was decent, but the saving grace of this confused sports bar was their calamari. Jillian's is half sports bar, half restaurant, half pool hall, and half club. The only thing it's decent at being is a calamari shop. They use a cornmeal breading and serve the little guys with a spicy aioli. So, go for the calamari and then leave to go get dinner elsewhere.
