Loud, large space done with no warmth. The food was about a 7 on a 1 - 10 scale. I actually had sushi and the tuna looked spoiled at one end of a roll and anyone that knows sushi or sashimi knows, don't eat it if you don't see it fresh. I have been here before and I think it was a good concept in theory, but the design leaves you feeling like you are eating in a vacuum.

It's a bit annoying really, but whether you're a 'hot' item or not, male or female, rich or poor, I don't think anyone would ever deny that Harlot is doing their best to act as if they were in LA on Sunset when it comes to the door entry. Even if you're one of the 'chosen ones' to get past the ID checkers, you probably witnessed some poor schlep at the door getting denied or forced to wait in line (for an unusual amount of time) with almost no one ahead of you. So regardless, unless you are at least one of (or more likely a combination of) the following - Hi...you'll be known as 'Schlep' here. * Female * Beautiful (subjective I know) * Rich This time was no different. We even came early to get 'stamped' so we wouldn't fall victim too. We were the first people there. When the door guy finally got around to us, he asked, "Is it just the three of you tonight?" We replied yes and that we were meeting a birthday celebrant here. The guy damn near flipped - "Wait, do you have bottle service?!" We said 'no' and asked if there was a problem. He said, "Yes, especially if you have 20 people showing up." Our jaws almost dropped in disbelief - especially in this economy...you want to segregate?! We told him 6 girls will be here after dinner if that's ok. He proceeded to grant us entry. Twenty of us showing up unannounced like this must have had questionable belong at such an upscale 'public venue' like Harlot. Wow. Harlot only gets an average of 3 stars on Rateclub yet the place remains seemingly popular. I've been here a few times prior to this one always hoping that it will get better. The only reason I was here this time because a good friend was having a 'thirty something' birthday and chose Harlot for her celebratory baptismal because she's never been there. It's really a decent spot once you get in - but the stink of 'pretentious club' looms all about the outer perimeter...
