No better than the old Roxy. Bad expensive drinks, my beer was obv from a bad tap and my G&T was made with seltzer and cost $9. The sound for the show was terrible- really bad!!! Lots of feed back and the vocals could not be heard, I could tell that even the musicians were frustrated with the quality of the audio. I would suggest ear plugs and a flask. It is too bad because it could be such a lovely venue. The staff was nice enough but still One Star for poor quality and high price of the show and drinks. I swore off this place when it was the Roxy, thought I would give it another chance. Was super excited to see MIA but was let down.

This generally strikes me as the type of place you go on either a first date or an expense account. The restaurant space is beautiful - very modern with an open kitchen. I generally love fifth group restaurants to begin with and I've always found the menu very enticing, finally went thanks to the groupon. We decided to try a little of everything, ended up getting a 5 course meal. The prices are high-average (and average for an upscale midtown restaurant) and portions smaller - which is never a bad thing to me. The service is fantastic, although very very slow, even early on a Wednesday night when they weren't terribly busy. The waiter came by frequently, though. The meat and cheese board is a nice starter, I found both cheeses we tried almost mouth burningly tangy - although definitely interesting, and the salchichon was delicious. Our appetizer of piquillo peppers was a high point as well. I believe their menu changes regularly, but we had the chili rubbed pork and pappardelle, which was terrific, and the duck breast, which was good but not great. The duck breast was uninteresting, until I had some of the skin with it - then it was awesome. The pear accompaniment that came with the duck sounded great, but tasted a little bit of dish soap. We had the semifreddo for dessert which was probably the best thing we ate - very delicious. The wine list looked very good - especially some of the house wines, and the cocktail list looked terrific as well. We skipped the drinks in favor of more food to taste, but would definitely look at that if we go back. Generally did not end up on the must return list, but the food was all either outstanding or at least interesting, and it was a good experience nonetheless.

Last night was the first time I have been to Biscuits & Blues...so I was not sure what to expect. The good: - We had a great seat....but I do not think that there is a bad seat in the house if you are there to see the show. - Biscuits and fried pickle are fabulous - saw Lavay smith and her red hot skillet lickers...her band was amazing - hat's off to the bartender- great martini The bad: - had to wait outside until they cleared out everyone and cleaned up from the 8pm seating. - they ran things like a comedy club, which I did not expect and really did not care for. - very short on wait staff, you really had to flag them down or ask them to order...not the other way around. They also did not stop back to check on things or ask if we wanted anything else. They were nice and it is not their fault they really just need to have more people working. - drinks and food took forever to come out b/c of the above. - besides the biscuits and pickles food was not great and not worth the price. We just had apps. the sampler, calamari and biscuits. Alot of the items on our sampler were cold when they arrived and they were just OK . The chicken wings had a nice flavor but they are honestly the SMALLEST chicken wings I have EVER SEEN!!!! They were seriously mini-wings and I thought that was ridiculous. The calamari was very disappointing was very greasy, the batter falling off before it made it onto the fork and the menu says that it is supposed to be calamari, okra and crawfish....I saw a few okra and there were NO crawfish on my plate and I was a little pissed about it. - Lavay....her band was great and she has an amazing voice but it really seemed as though she was holding back...the girl deff. had more in her maybe she was tired, sick...who knows...I just was not feelin it for most of the show and it did not seem like the crowd was either. - NO SOAP in the women's bathroom...this is inexcusable for a place that charges what they do...this is not a back woods, bar! - There is also nowhere in the women's stalls to hang your handbag or coat...so ladies leave it with your sig. other or friends before heading to the bathroom. - Expensive for the type crappy service and food- for two people it ended up being about $125. Which would have been fine if the place had it together...but really it was not worth the money. If I ever go back ....it will be for a show that I am dying to see and will stick to drinks only...but then again if you do the late show they require a two drink min. per person (again like a comedy club)....so maybe I will just skip this place all together.
