I think the bartenders here need to start drinking on the job, they were far too crabby and indifferent for my taste. Location wise I'm a sucker for this style of decor; open air, wooden rafters, exposed brick along with an upper deck. But frankly there are quite a few places in this hood with much of the same, so if the bartenders are gonna be all frumpy I'll roll my ass up the block. Teeny tiny single person bathrooms, one for the ladies and one for the gents. Then both sexes reunite to share one sink/mirror area to wash up which sucks for the guys. We all know the ladies that love to stand and look at themselves for days, touching up makeup here and there, so be prepared to shoo one out of the way if you need to use one of the sinks. Eh, Sloane reminds me of a lot of other bars. Clean cut and nice looking, but nothing standoutish. Barring some major party or something going down here I can likely say I won't be back.

Third Floor Cafe has been a staple of K-town longer than any other place on 32nd street. New places come and go but none have weathered the true test of time except for this place. Why you ask? Well the first reason is location, location, location. Just a block from the landmark of the Empire State Building, what other place here is going to give patrons a better view. The hip music and classy ambiance also adds to the trendy vibe of this bar/lounge. Most important of all is the bartenders that work there. Most of them know how to treat folks especially the regulars such as myself. Amidst, the elbow to elbow crowd and the bass pumping tunes, these barkeeps manage to keep the crowds inebriated with car bombs and whatever concoctions that may or may not exist. Thanks 3rd floor for being an institution where everybody knows your name..........

For some reason, this reminds me of some place in NYC. Definitely one of my favourite venues in SF. The crowd is thankfully not the kind that you'd see at the larger venues. Not too big, not too small, it's just the right size.
