by Peter D. on The meatpacking district is cool. Way cooler than me. I was cool some years ago. I'm from the days of Limelight, Palladium, and the Tunnel where going to a club was an event. Hidden rooms, different floors, coed restrooms, made these clubs special. To describe Cielo as a club is misleading. It's really more of a lounge that plays house music as opposed to, well, loungy music. The dance floor at Cielo is small. Really small. There are better places to go to in the MPD. I don't smoke anymore but they have an outdoor smoking area which is great for those that do.
by Trey Guyon on Came Valentines Day with my lady. It was for a synergy/element party, so asian night. There was a line down the street, so im thinking its crowded inside. I pay a 20$ cover and there is no one inside, the whole club isnt open yet, and they are playing a cd for music. SO. MUCH. FUN. Couple hours in, i dont think they stopped letting people in all night. My midnight... it is so squashed in there. Then people are walking all though the dance floor and dropping their drinks, steppin on your shoes, shovin you.... I hope I am giving this rating because the club really sucked, cuz if not, it mean im an old fart
