by H. E. on Seriously, I am just not kidding about this one. It is phenomenal. The space is gorgeous, on the edge of the Mission, exposed brick, skylights, chandiliers and great ambience. Dosn't hurt that STEVIE WONDER stopped by last weekend either! We went for happy hour, good deals, amazing choices. The wine list is my kinda list: full of good options at rrasonable prices and they have wine on tap...which means, they go straight to the vinyard to get it and keep it an oxygen free container so it stays perfect...I didn't know about this process until I came here, but now I have tried it out and it was amazing. Then, there is the food....we had the truffle fries...I could have eaten them all night long and the blue cheese mushroom burger may have been the best one I have ever had. Perfection. Fresh, delicious, cooked perfectly with the best piece of blue cheese I have ever encountered on a burger. Heaven. The waitstaff was on it. Never had to get anyone's attention, they just knew. My kinda place. Have heard the music scene here is worth it too, so I will definitely be back soon!
by Erich D. on The first time I came here was for the girlfriend's birthday party, more recently it was for a female co-worker's good-bye party. The food here is pretty decent, but what people really come here for is the entertainment by the "gender illusionists." The entertainers, who are also your servers, can be quite hilarious at times. It's just a very uniquely San Francisco establishment. I really wonder if some of the guys who have dined here actually know about the "Ladies of Asia SF." I've seen some guys watching so intently or in such amazement that their jaws have just dropped! The last time I was here a few years ago the downstairs dance floor and bar area got very stuffy as it was not well ventilated.
by Svetlana Lamey on This is a must stop for people who like REAL, FRESH sushi. Let me put it to you like this, I asked the chef if he had any clams. He smiled and reached into a bucket, pulled out two giant clams and asked which I wanted. I picked, the clam's shell was slightly open. The chef poked it and it snapped shut! Needless to say it was mighty tasty. I was here a few weeks ago for the first time with my rateclubs partner. We went back a few days ago and we were greeted by name! Only our second visit! We sat at the bar and the service was second to none. The chef was great, explaining what was fresh and special. The waitress was very attentive and catered to our every need. My suggestion for sushi is to order the omakase and if you feel like more order anything else you desire. If you are into authentic, traditional sushi and Japanese food you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a Spicy Tuna roll to go with a Philadelphia Roll or some "novelty roll" keep looking.
