I am an '80s junky, but 1984 has gotten way too crowded, and the set list way too repetitive. I hadn't gone for like a year, and the music seemed to... (more)

I finally got the chance to visit the infamous Webster Hall a few nights ago. The VIP section is on point. The bouncers are nice. The sound is GOOD.

Sucks!!!! Female bartender very conceited and rude and fat, she's only friendly to family, never a round on the house even if you've been drinkin there for 5 straight hours, environment is ok but not goin back!!!

Went here this weekend for Dave's birthday shindig where over 300 were supposed to attend.  We arrived early after dinner at Gary Danko and stopped at Thirsty Bear down the street.  There was a cover charge after 10:30, so we planned to get there by 10.  There are 3 floors to this place, and the first hour it was pretty empty.  But 3 Heinekens and 2 vodka tonics later, the place was packed.  I saw a lot of people I knew there from all sorts of places.  Overall it was fun, but someone spilled a drink on The Girl's dress. The drinks are ridiculously overpriced.  $6 for Voss water and $11 for a vodka tonic in a plastic cup?  Christ.  Thank goodness it was my birthday and most people were up to the tasks of buying rounds for me. Roe was fun, as I haven't been to a club in about 2 years.  But I think it is not a clever misnomer.  Come midnight, we were packed in there like salmon roe and probably smelled like such.
