MINX Restaurant & Lounge/Club...if it even falls into any of these categories. In one word...SUCKS! The place looks great, but this is very deceiving. The food is ok with a very limited and overpriced menu. The service is terrible and disorganized. Lots of staff and only 4 tables in the entire place had anyone dinning. What kind of bar/club/lounge doesn't even have a drink menu or at the very least some signature drinks to be recommended? Sat at the empty bar for 10mins before anyone bothered to say hi or see if we wanted drinks. OMG the club side is like the twilight zone with a small and very odd crowd. Its as if the staff promoters are playing "pretend", as if they're actually running a real Hollywood type establishment.....the ordeal to check ID's, put on wrist bands, and the very stringent entering policy was a joke considering there was nobody behind us. And WTF is up with $5 valet parking and $10 self parking? This place takes itself WAY to seriously to be a Hollywood club...open your eyes and look around Mr. Promoter, this is Glendale! Luckily we were able to make the most of it by the good company of friends we had. We will all look back and make fun of this place. Seriously folks...stay away!

4 stars for the fun factor... We went here for a client dinner and I had LOW expectations of this place. When you're trying to be the next hot thang in NYC, I won't expect much from the food/service. But I had such a great time here! People-watching while waiting for our food was a pure riot. Fellas, this is the place to be for eye-candy (and the wannabe eye-candy!) You see the 40-somethin' botoxed chicas competiting with the hot 20-somethin' - there's a flavor for everyone =). And for the ladies, it was just pure entertainment to watch the men oogle and see all the "true love" around. As our food arrives, I thought this was going to be another one of those overpriced bad food, but I was pleasantly surprised, not the best but good. Cheesy Garlic Bread with Marinara: Need I say anything else?? Appetizer: Raw Bar Seafood Plateau: it was your typical raw bar with ceviche - I wouldn't order it again Meatball: these balls were huge!! (I had to say it) - It was damn good. I tend to think that oversized food tends not to cook well, but this was delish. Main Dishes: Rib Eye: medium rare - YUMMMY Veal Milanese: I didn't have any, I can't get myself to eat a baby cow. Carne Pizza: De-lish....I liked the saltiness Side Dishes: Penne ala vodka: definitely recommend Spinach: nothing special Baby Aspagraus: good, not great, I liked it better than the spinach Dessert: Chocolate Roulade: Sorry - didn't have room for this one. Oreo Zeppole - save the best for last - It was O.M.G. orgasmic! All in all, food & wine was good, service was great and we ended the night with a sighting of George Hamilton!!! How perfect is that????

Food and drinks here are great. If you're going to party on the weekend at one of the two lounges...BE WARNED. In the upstairs lounge there is a Spanish party on Friday and Saturday nights. Their is no bathroom on the main floor and if you want to use the upstairs bathroom they make you pay a cover charge OR leave your ID at the entrance (no bullsh*t happened to me twice). The downstairs lounge has better music (a mix of everything) but it is always muggy and musty down there. The crowd is usually older and ladies if you aren't in the mood to get groped or hit on by a man in his mid-30's wearing a polyester shirt slacks...I suggest you stay away. Aside from that, margaritas are AMAZING and so are the enchiladas. Great spot for after work drinks (main level only).
