by Ritu K. on As I stood at the doorway to this completely random bar down a dark and abandoned side street my eyes started to note the artsy nudey pictures on the wall. Which is just about the moment when my husband exclaimed that this place would be the prototype for his future "man room". Apparently he's planning a room in some future home which will consist of liquor, pool, and video games, and which I will somehow be banned from... Right :) But I digress Lets just say the Ranstead Room is pretty bad ass. I felt instantly cooler the moment I walked in. Dark, artsy, swanky, intimate- whatever you want to call it- its just cool. The menu is limited, but the bartenders are happy to oblige with any drink you fancy. And speaking of the drinks, I was pretty lushed up after two.. Both were heavy in liquor and quite good, although not as tasty as the ones being served at the Frankin Mortgage. In any case I will most certainly be back!!!
by Angela W. on The $20 cover charge is whatever. I'd rather pay here than at DTF but I don't ever have to pay to get into the clubs in Vegas. Wtf? The venue style is similar to a nightclub Vegas. The trees are covered in dim lights, the dancers are freakin hot, and has two stories on the inside. The large dance floor is smacked right in the middle with the bottle service booths decorating the edges of the area. The restrooms were clean and it wasn't overwhelmingly stuffy disgusting inside. Our party had two tables and the girl who took care of the bottle service was efficient on getting our party of 18 whatever we needed. The dancers were entertaining and actually put on a pretty good show. The crowd was diverse and had some interesting people. Blvd 3 is pretty good for Hollywood and when we're too lazy to drive to Vegas. All in all, we had a great time and gave two thumbs up to their bottle service.
by Warren Frison on I do love this place for the nostalgia, and beauty. And if you go to a low key sit down concert its great. I've gone a few times and been able to get a table up front and really enjoy a favorite band absorbing and seeing everything. A big plus for a shorty like me. But if you go to a sold out standing show beware of the NO VENTILATION factor...yikes! And I was wearing a tank top, wow it was majorly uncomfortable. Its a great place for a more intimate show, maybe a more low-key type band to enjoy the whole ambiance. Of course thats just my opinion. I'll still love seeing a show here, and I always go for the smaller venues over the big ones. Matter of fact I can't even remember the last time I went to a huge venue. I usually only go these days to the clubs or places like these to see a show.
