My date and I each had the smallest tasting menu -- highlights were the beet salad, also okra and fennel were good in the salads. we had the turkish baked/buttered hummus, which was great. we had moussaka and bureki, which were fine, and the cauliflower which was amazing, and the fish kofte which was also great. the galil (eggplant) main dish and the hungarian (duck) were both great -- eggplant slightly salty but still great. desserts: brownie was good, but semifreddo was GREAT. attentive and nice waitstaff, very helpful, and a nice atmosphere overall. already planning to go back.
by Willy C. on Every so often when a full moon rises, I mentally turn in to a douchebag who is down to fistpump and beat the beat up, and this is where I go. This place is actually one of the better clubs I've been to because it's not in a douchey area like Chelsea or the Meat Packing District. Easy to get to and there's actually a little diversity in their patrons instead of the usual glittery deep v-neck, fauxhawk, Ed Hard/yChristian Audigier/Affliction/Tap Out/True Religion jeans/sunglasses at night wearing crowd. I always go with a promoter with a bunch of girls to get in easier though, and table service/free bottles/getting comped at the door is always a plus. But if you're not doing that, I don't know what's wrong with you because the place gets packed and if you're not at a table or booth, those walkways can get cramped. I'd imagine the prices at the bar to be pretty steep too. Sometimes I'm tempted to hand the bathroom guys my gum as tip like Kevin McAllister from Home Alone, because really, all they're doing is handing me a paper towel after I wash my hands. But then I start to feel bad and leave a dollar instead because they rely on these tips and they're so nice to me. One of these days though, someone will get my gum as tip!

I've been to places 10 times worse =/ Yes it's hot, yes it's tiny, and yes it's crowded. But um, isn't that what a bar or club is? The music is mixed, the crowd is diverse and the vibe is good. I don't know what y'all order but I have great drinks and crazy good times! Jeez people, take more Vitamin C or something and relax. There's no need for all the nit picking... especially when it comes to night life. Just saying.
