by Rob R. on As far as brunch spots go I'd say that Honey Sit n Eat and Sabrina's are the tops, but Cafe Lift is making a push. This was my second time here, the first time I got the eggs benedict which were really good, my latest trip there was a pumpkin canolli french toast being offered - I couldn't resist. It is really like having dessert for breakfast, but who care's it's incredible, a bit decadent, but awesome nonetheless.
by Brady C. on I am not always a huge Mexican food fan, but when I get the craving there is no stopping me. I went to Nick's on Taco Tuesday with some friends, and I was in for a treat. Maybe is because it wasn't super authentic, but something about these tacos makes me consider coming here every night I try to figure out what to make for dinner. The place was absolutely packed, so we started off with some margaritas while waiting in line. Not the best margarita ever, but I did not come here to really drink, so I wasn't too disappointed. I got to the front of the line and ordered three tacos all for $2. It took awhile to get the food (and find a table) because it was so crowded, but the food was amazing. I ate my three tacos in no time, and wished I had ordered even more. Since I didn't know about the famous fish tacos, I didn't order one. Luckily, one of my friends had and let me try it. To say it was delicious is an understatement. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially on Tuesdays when most of the food is discounted. If you are willing to wait in the line then you will not be let down.
by Pearline Struckman on Trying to be more then it really is..... Call me lame, but I guess this place is an LA stereotype wrapped up in a tite neat package. It almost doesn't matter if you are on the guestlist, still took me 25 minutes to get in. If you are a group of guys with no ladies, obviously be prepared to shell out for a bottle and a table. They keep a line even though the place isn't even 25% full. Regardless, the bartenders pour steep drinks so they are worth the money, and you can find any scene inside, couchs and lounge, crazy dance floor, a side bar for just you and your friends...if you get in...you'll find something that fits you here....
