by Jack Yackley on It took me eons to find this place. I came with friends.. and we were lost like shit and the cold February month did not help at all. But we made it and the food was... decent. Well, I liked my food (I got fish, lame huh? At a steak house!) and my friends thought it was mediocre for the $$ My friend recommended this place heavily, saying it was THE spot in nyc. so, I fled. I came early in the day and it was empty. But as we were finishing up dinner, this place was packed! STK is a great spot, but too bad I wasn't dressed appropriately to feel good about myself and get shit-faced at the bar.
by Olivia D. on If you can't love Bimbo's, you must be dead inside. It's SF's perfect venue. I always have a good time here and have seen some of my favourite bands - Calexico, Dresden Dolls, Cat Power, Tortoise - Bimbo's sets a magical atmosphere and bands can't help but respond with great shows.
