I had dinner here recently and can confirm that Le Club's atmosphere radiates with old school style class. That being the case, I felt the guests skewed a little bit on the older side so be aware this is probably not the place for a really raucous crowd. I thought the staff was all super friendly. Even though we did get asked once by the hostess to try to keep things quiet at another table's request (fyi, I didn't think we were being that loud), I feel she may have realized the imposition and graciously offered a complimentary town car service for us to our next destination. Overall good experience, but be advised that the portions are a little on the smaller side. Also, the billiards room is pretty cool.

WTF? I loved the original Brunos - had as much old school charm and character as any bar anywhere. It was really a diamond in the rough of Mission Street, long before the other bars moved in. In trying to modernize the new owners ripped out a lot of Bruno's cool old interior, and IMO lost the essense of what made the original Bruno's so special. To me it felt like I could be in any yuppie bar anywhere in the Marina, which broke my heart. To be fair, I'm giving the new Bruno's three stars because as a bar it served its purpose - the drinks were OK and everyone who worked there did their job well and were cool about it. And because I've heard that Bruno's was going to be shut completely and the renovation actually saved it (although maybe in name only).
