by Felipe Mittlestadt on Simply outstanding food. Unique menu with a great spin. We loved the grilled fish and hanger steaks. They have an excellent wine selection and great deserts. This is a real foodies place though you will pay the price. The decor was very cool with many candles and a unique layout. This was a good example of West Coast cuisine with a southern twist (i.e. the sweet potato cheesecake). We will definitely be back.
by Jin D. on Hands down my favorite place to eat in Midtown. This Southern style kitchen offers a comfortable dining environment, friendly services and yup, you guessed it, amazing food. Must-try dish? The Fried Chicken of course! I know $17 dollar for a piece of Fried Chicken sounds ridiculous, but it is worth every penny. Buttermilk chicken breast fried to perfection, served with collar greens and a delicious biscuit, with sausage gravy on top. Country Ham & Catfish Reuben: My favorite dish there (I can't even begin to count how many $9.75 + tax I have spent on this...) Fried Catfish chunk sits in between a bed of coleslaw, country ham and mildly spicy tartar sauce on toast. Served with home-style chips. It's a fairly big sandwich, so if you're looking for something light, pair half of this baby with either a cup of soup or a small salad. The dress code is casual, reservation is recommended, esp. for nights and weekends. Ps. Mouth watering complimentary biscuits and cornbreads anyone?
by Robert R. on Love this Bar. It doesn't feel like you are in SF, and especially not in the Marina. It is a great place to grab a couple beers (they have at least 20 on tap), and there is always an interesting crowd on hand. Also, it is as likely to be packed on a tuesday night as it is on a saturday. Grab a stool, some popcorn and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
