I was startled by the horrific, racist stickers all over this place and believe they are Anti-American. If you order food in an accent, you may not even be served! This is despicable. By the way, JOE, the US government and the United States DO NOT have an official language and your grandparents could speak English either. By the time the nasty cheesesteak came out, I was not hungry because of the hellish atmosphere of this place. Cheesesteaks are food. It is not necessary to have a racist, Republican montage of images everywhere, reminding people why Americans have a bad reputation in the world. Serve your dead, hormone-ladened cows. Leave the rhetoric out.

The Pescado Fish (fried) tacos Nick's Way are the best fish taco's I have had so far. Taco Tuesdays was fun this week as I went for the first time. The special for Taco Tuesdays is $2 for tacos, and add $0.95 for Nick's way. I would always suggest Nick's way with that blob of guacamole on top. They also had $2 cheese quesadillas which I have not tried yet. The margaritas can sometimes have too much sweet and sour, but they were fantastic this week.

The service was excellent, but the food was ok. Our server tried her best, but the whole XIV experience was just fair. We booked a table well in advance and still had a horrible table near the entrance to the smoking patio. It was a chilly night and took almost our entire meal to have someone bring over a patio heater, which were in abundance. We ate at 830 on a Saturday night, yet they had managed to run out of a few items we had ordered for our tasting menu. The server was as accommodating as possible and even removed a round of drinks from the bill for us. It was an appreciated gesture, but next time we are in Hollywood we'll probably just spend the extra money at The Bazaar. If you do go to XIV, the Tai Snapper and the Nutella Custard were our favorites.
