by Josette Ostaba on I came to Opera on Thursday July 3, to kick off the 4th of July weekend. Luckily we took a cab to the club and managed to sneak a few swigs of booze before hopping into the cab, oh so deliciously ghetto fabulous. We get to the club a little past 11. Eek and the line is long. Actually, all the clubs in Hollywood were crazy that night. We walk over to the VIP line and start name dropping thinking we are infamous, later to find out that we are un-famous. And then I see Jacob S. from Glam. And suddenly we are taken care of. Holy moly good seeing you bro! (He's studying at Michigan and I didn't realize he was in town for the summer). PM me up if you want his email for any Glam parties. Homie hooked it up with comps and escorted us into the club. =) We finally get into the club and there were so many boys. Boys galore! Tall ones, short ones, skinny ones, fat ones, everything in between and more, galore! Glory Glory Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Just as soon as my eyes were bulging out of my sockets they opened their mouths and said, "Hi, I'm 21". HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! So I did what I had to do.... I lied... I lied all stinking night. Hi, my name is Susy and I'm 22. =D All in all it was a good night. Every Thursday from here on out is an Asian party thrown by a couple of promotion crews. The music is booty shaking hip hop. Sweet! Guest list closes at 10:30 pm, so try to get there early or you might have to pay and wait in line. Seriously the waiting in line thing is kind of getting old, actually I'm getting old, after all I'm not 22 anymore.
by Jay D. on Overrated. Went for bottle service, crowd was nothing special, design is rather boring, prices were high. (Advice, opt for a table not in the middle of the floor...but I suppose it all depends on what you're looking for).
