by Celly A. on Eve is one of my hangouts with the homies. I'm usually here with the dude and his crew. The place is small, but I love the music.. none of that hyphy movement stuff. Pure hip hop. The bartenders are cool but when it gets busy, there are some mix ups. I went here on a thursday night, which is now my fave night here. Lots of folks, mix crowds, and (just for the ladies) plenty of guys! lol. I dont have to worry about cover, immature fights,or dressing super girly... i can be mayself and still have fun! Good times at Eve!
by Angela H. on I'm only giving Slide 3 stars because it's actually open and decent on a Wednesday night. Otherwise it belongs to the category of "Nice Place but with Disrespectful D-bag Bouncers". Yes, granted the first thing I did last night was jump on a table. It was only because I was having a good time (Not thanks to Slide, rather Mas Sake... that place is always the end of me). Plus, I promptly jumped off on my own accord anyways so the bouncer did NOT have to remind me that "next time you do that you are out". My shout-out to the rude bouncer from last night: 1) No need for the condescending tone. 2) The place was empty. Don't be condescending to one of 5 people (in the same posse) to threaten to kick them out. Otherwise the crowd eventually grew and was pretty mixed... some people really dressed up for a Wednesday night. Music was good but promptly turned crappy when they started playing repetitive electronic music. But anywho, I had a good time overall. It just bugs me that people have to be rude when asking politely does the same trick.
