by Laureen Ragusano on This is the WORST MEAL I have ever had in Philadelphia!!! Took my husband here to brunch on Valentine's Day. Restaurant was pretty empty. There was no hostess, dirty tables and we were seated for a while before the menus came. A family came in and eventually left because they were seated for so long without receiving a menu. My husband ordered guacamole and salsa. It was gross. It's pretty disgusting to go to a restaurant and order food that tasted like it came out of a jar. I ordered an avocado and grapefruit salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp stunk! I mean literally it smelled horribly. The utensils were dirty. My husband ordered a bloody mary. $8 for a drink that was more than half filled with ice. $50 later, we left with food mostly untouched, feeling not so good and still hungry. I dont mind paying my hard earned money for good food, but frankly mc donalds would have been better that that crap. We walked out the door and 2 different parties asked our opinion of National Mechanics, and they were very grateful to be steered away from that bad dining experience. Poorly done. ZERO STARS!
