by Itty B. on While the service didn't make any impact on my 4 stars (seriously, I cannot even remember if it was a man or woman waiting on us) the food and atmosphere will bring me back again and again. Order the burger and fries. Write home about it. I did. LADIES: You'll love the ambience, the fact that there are NO flashing neon beer signs "proving" it's a real sporty sports sport bar. Classy twist they manuvered. Making you feel like you are out at a very nice restaurant while your date watches televisions at every angle around your head. You got great food, good drinks and probably the guy's number next to you. He got to watch his team beat the shit out of the other team and beer. Win.Win. Cool place, great food, good drinks, tons of parking. I like it here.
by Emily V. on Bongos is an overrated restaurant/nightclub. I have only been there a number of times and don't plan on returning. It is way overpriced. And for what? There are PLENTY of Cuban restaurants in Miami that serve WAY better versions of the same cuisine. The waiters are rude and half the time don't know what they're doing. After 9 p.m., it turns into a nightclub and what a lame one!! Outside, you'll find the way-too-young kiddies that are in salsa classes but can't get into a real club. Inside, it gets packed, like sardine packed! The music sucks! Do your self a favor, if you want awesome Latin cuisine and music head to Macondo on the beach. For awesome Cuban cuisine head to Casavana.
by Deon Zuehls on had a blast at this club. there were some meatheads in the crowd, but it was all about the music. location's right along the walk of stars, which was somewhat entertaining while you waited in line. decor was swank and modern, with an earthly den-like lounge area too. drinks were pricey.
