A guaranteed good time. It's pretty seedy, dark, and cramped; perfect for Jamaican dancehall riddims, reggae, soca and other Caribbean sounds. It can get too crowded [and will] but so long as you bring your buffer gals, it's all lovely. There's a very diverse crowd and you'll see all sorts of characters. Some of said characters might try to rub up against you repeatedly under the guise of trying to squeeze through the masses but a swift elbow to the ribs should take care of it. Otherwise, you'll definitely have ample opportunity to work out your tensions and joys out on the dance floor. Try not to bring a jacket or purse because there's really no room for it and it'll likely wind up drenched in sweat and spilled drinks. There's a regular there who wears a fanny pack. He is trying to act like there's absolutely nothing hideous about it, so you could easily join him in that wildly futile affair. Good times.

I'm VERY surprised at the superb ratings Bob is getting from rateclubsers. I've been here several times and yes the music is very good and fun to dance to. The drinks are fairly cheap. You don't get hassled at the door. The place is very typical LES bar/lounge setup. It's a small box basically. I mean, you can dance but its going to be in the same spot. The vibe is good here but 4 stars? ... 5 stars?! I just don't see it. Good times though, no doubt about it.

The only time I can stomach the Majestic is when I've had too much to drink & someone suggests we go there cause they want eggs or other breakfast foods and I can't focus on or smell the gnarliness set before me. I don't suggest The Majestic. I wouldn't even think about it suggesting it. I am just drunk & going with the flow and damn it!, why is there no Waffle House intown??? Take this review with a grain of salt since I also have a Majestic-centered grudge. I used to live in the same apartment complex as one of their old school beehived waitresses. She used to wait for me to take my clothes to the laundry room, so she could run in after I left & dump out my wet clothes on the floor & steal my quarters, soap & cycle. So eff you, Majestic. I want my quarters & Tide back.
