I must say, I was not impressed with this place. At all. Our server was pretty clueless about the wine menu, which is a big turn-off for me. When asked for suggestions, he simply pushed the most expensive ones they had. Then he got caught flat out lying about the portions on the pours, making them sound enormous, to make us decide between buying a bottle or a couple of glasses. All this just to find out that they were out of the wine he was encouraging us to buy. My fried green tomatos and goat cheese appetizer was plain and tastestless. Our entrees of beef brisket and shrimp&grits were good, but insanely filling - out of two adults, neither one of us was able to get through even a half of our portion. This is not because portions are huge, by the way - it's because the food was SO heavy and filling. So this tells me it's not the most health-friendly place out there. Dessert is a whole different story of its own. Lime sorbet was absolutely uneatable. Sour ice is the best way to describe it. We literally could not force ourselves to eat more than a bite. The banana pudding was about 60% whipped cream, if not more - so it tasted like whipped cream, and not like the banana pudding we ordered. Publix deli does a better job on this dessert than this restaurant. Overall, the only reason for the second star is good taste of 2 of the 8 things we ordered. Everything else was mediocre at best. Not coming back here - there are WAY too many places in this price range that have good quality food and honest staff.

Came in with friends not too long ago. Had the arroz y pollo with sweet plantains. Very good, however the chicken had a bit of an older taste to it. Still the black beans, plantains, and moist rice made up for that one mishap.
