by Leily P. on This place definitely doesn't attract the usual Mission crowds - it was a lot bigger and nicer than I expected. People are a little more dressy (in comparison to all the Mission barhoppers) - yes there is a $10 cover but boo hoo who cares, at least it wasn't empty. The ladies 2-stall bathroom really is a joke, but oh well. I like the loungey feel to it. The stripper poles upstairs were tacky though. People were friendly so that's pretty much why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3.
by Daniel Dingee on I recently came here for a stellar lineup (Mark Farina and a bunch of the Om Records crew) on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. It probably would've been a great time if the venue hadn't been severely oversold. I could barely move around inside and it just got old having sweaty people rubbing against me and spilling beer on me every two seconds. Honestly, why can't venues just cap ticket sales at a decent amount of people? On another note, the crowd here definitely isn't a local one. It felt like I was at an amateur bodybuilder/car show model convention. Next time I think I'm going to skip this place.
by Chrystal B. on Ambience, check. Yummy/fancy cocktails, check. Sexy lounge area, check. Fabulous food, check. Had a good time at The Kress during its soft opening week. The space is really gorgeous! It makes you just want to sink down and chill for hours. And we never even went to the club! The place will probably be one that lasts longer in this town since it does offer a little bit of something for everyone, but it does have a few 'glitches', so to speak. To be expected for a new restaurant. Will definitely go back in a few months to see how things are progressing...
