by Davis Herena on Its actually really sad that I really liked this place before Friday night...but after the other night I will never step foot in this place again.We were with a group of friends for a friends birthday..we took a limo straight to the club..(no stops ahead of time) We left all our jackets in the limo & got to the front door where there was no line..the bouncer asked if we were on the guestlist..we said yes...he quickly asked if we had a table and we told him no but that we had called three times this past week to make sure our party was verified on the guestlist and was told yes we were all set all three times. The bouncer walked in for 2 seconds & came out shaking his head as to apply that we were not on the list. Then went back to playing on his blackberry not seeming to care to help us any further..we asked if we could just get in if we paid the regular admission price..the bouncer said no! Now the group was getting pretty irritated & wanted some answers &asked to speak to the manager..the bouncer replied,"He's in a meeting!" very smuggly! In response we asked what the bouncer's name was..he refused at first but then gave us a name..that most likely was not his. By this time our group had enough..we were freezing & just wanted to have fun and get into someplace warm. We decided to go across the way to the Liquor Store...when we got to the front of the line one of the bouncers from the Estate called the bouncer from the Liquor Store over and was talking to him about not letting us in.We confronted him about what they were doing & they said no no it's cause u r not under dresscode..lol Which we all were! We were like whatever forget this...we walked back to meet the limo were there were two promoters from The Estate...they saw the limo pull up and was talking to our limo driver trying to get our group to go to the Estate. We told them what had happened & that we were not interested in going there anymore. The place had left a bad taste in our mouths. Needless to say we jumped back in the limo and ended up at another bar. Bottomline: There are way to many good bars & clubs in Boston that bend over backwards to make their customers or visitors happy! Why bother with a place where customer satisfaction is at the bottom of the barrel.
by Alysha M. on I've been here a few times now & didn't enjoy it before. However, this last time I went, it was a good experience. There are multiple dance floors with different types of music in each room. Drinks are easy to get at the bar. Not too crowded & easy to walk around & dance. No drama. Don't remember who the promoter was & if there was a guestlist, but it was $20 cover. Pretty pricey especially for a girl but I had a good time. The lemon drop shots are pre-made = big hangover next day.
