sometimes too crowded but I did love the Lychee Martini! I'd go back just for that alone. It's got a bit of butternut rum and foam on top. The sushi was amazing. We happened to experience fantastic service given that we know the manager.

Went on a Friday night, and the coverage was only $5? I thought it was $10 last time I went. View: I didn't think it was that spectacular, maybe because it was foggy that night. The building isn't high enough, or isn't situated high enough so you get blocked by other buildings around. Music: went in at around 10, the music was for the older crowd. I didn't know the music, but i knew they were not normal club music for the young. Tried to dance, but it was awkward, maybe I am awkward. Most people dancing around that time are old. However, as it gets later in the night, the music changed to the normal club music, which makes the room HOT! Drink: reasonably priced. Folks, this is one of the best spot in SF, so no $5 cocktail OK? go to a college bar or something if you are looking for cheap drinks. The cocktails were well made, my Cable Car was very very tasty. I licked the cinnamon on the rim...YUM! Restroom: amazingly clean!! Unlike many other club/bar when it gets late and drunk people start puking. Host: the host who led us to the seat was a sweetheart! He watched my purse when I left it on the seat and hit the dance floor. By the time I came back, he gave me a little sweet talk, warning me that there are people here just waiting for purses like that to be left on the seat. Overall, it's a great experience. As busy as it is around union square, I didn't have much trouble finding street parking around at night both time I went there.

It's definitely not a comfortable setting.  With mostly black walls and vintage and nude paintings and coffee tables around the place.  If the objective of getting a drink after work is to drink while still maintaining  a certain image, than this place is great.  I applaud the decor, very interesting and fun to look around when your girls are in the bathroom.  But if you want to unwind and drink a beer, this place is too fancy for that. I guess it's a club. That's what occurred to me after sitting on a faux-snakeskin couch for an hour.  And when it did dawn on me that it was a club, I remember how I'm not a club person at all and ordered one more drink, as it was after all happy hour, drained it, and left.  Even thought the happy hour goes until 9pm, the drink specials are not that special, it's $3 drafts, and $5 well cocktails.  I may not be back here actually, just not my style.  Maybe I should spend a little more time on Rateclub reading the category line?
