The only problem with this place is the size, it's just not big enough. Opera has three rooms to the Gold Rooms one. The Gold Room feels bigger than Cosmo/Lava because the ceiling doesn't exist, but geeze one room is a killer. Ok, yes I know there's an upstairs for VIP but most people aren't in VIP and being VIP at the Goldroom doesn't feel VI(see what I did there) Because of its "compact" size it's always crowded, so that's a plus. It has a great vibe, slightly different than Opera and Tongue and Groove, but it's a great vibe. Opera is tame, T&G is wild, this is right in between. People are ready to have a great time here but don't expect to pass out and feel like everybody is doing it...they aren't. For guys I recommend you get there quarter to twelve in order to partner up. Everyone is in the mood to dance, but like always if you're single it's lame being lonely so PARTNER UP EARLY. I usually only go there on Saturdays. I don't know if this is common but I went on a Friday and it seemed to be Asian night. Maybe it's all Fridays or maybe it was just that Friday(10/8/10) but clarity would be nice guys. You have to valet your car. I think the valet guys change the price depending on their own factors. When I drove they said it was $5, when my friend drove they charged him $10. No worries though the price seems about right for a parking garage anyway. I'll end with saying this is my favorite club in Atlanta. I want to try others but I went to Lava after this place and couldn't stay because it was just ALL WRONG! I'm now too scared to waste funds trying a club that sucks, so I'll stick to the big three. THE END.

Great concept. Bar on a boat (many boats combined into one? not sure. it was dark, I couldn't see!), with amazing views from Chelsea Piers. I actually thought the boat "sailed" around Hudson River but I guess that was my imagination reading prior rateclubs reviews. I must have been drunk reading that. A bucket of 6 Coronas for $30 or $35 - not bad for NY. Club in the back playing MJ. Love love love! Why have I never heard of this place until now after 4 years of living in this city? Wow! Hidden gem indeed. Lots of drunken patrons by the time we arrived at 1am after golfing. Yes, we brought 8+ golf clubs on the boat and no one stopped us. (Possible drunken weapons?) A drunken girl begged my friend for a cigarette and offered a dollar and defended she wasn't a homeless bum. Welcome to NY.

Full disclosure i am the friend of some of the bouncers and owners of the club, but really this place is cool. Never too crowded, lines not too long, when i have went the people are cool, no drama, not too hard to get a drink at the bars, good music... usually i will go on a friday or saturday night... there are places to chill if you just want to post somewhere. So all in all a good club!! The women's bathroom line is somewhat ridiculus, but that's how it is at these clubs. Good times here!!
