I don't like clubs to begin with, but if you do, you should take this review with a pinch of salt. My roommates, however, all love clubbing so I *had* to go with them. No worries about a cover; on the Friday night that we went, you could text "GRFRIDAY" to 84444 and you and a friend would get in for free before midnight. Night starts. Pregaming occurs at the apartment. Really, I try to limit the amount that I spend buying drinks. And for good reason - a Jameson Sprite here costed $9, and I ended up running a $50 bar tab anyways. As far as music goes - can you say bipolar? They would do these weird remixes where they'd play parts of popular songs for about 30 seconds at a time - not cool that the song kept on switching right as you started getting into it! Plus, a few moments where they'd play like random techno for 5 minutes at a time or so. Weird! Not very consistent. And last, the parking situation - we parked next door where the Taco Mac 5 Guys is, its a little cheaper than force valeting at GR.

Wait, am I still in San Francisco? Did I drink too much and walk all the way back to Sacramento? Do girls really still dress like that in this city? Ghettofabulous tight short skirts and six-inch murderous heels? Men all in dark jeans and slick black shoes and tame button-up shirts? I felt out of place in my yellow pants. Brother should NOT feel out of place in yellow pants in San Francisco. Hell no. This place was as club as club gets: awful vibes, awful music, cloisters of 'work by day, drink on the weekends' people in seclusive circles, sorta dancin, sorta bumpin and grindin, but more just out to be out and to be seen. a barbarian display of man and woman. Fortunately I got in for free by getting on the guest list via Going. If you're into club clubs, you might like it. If you're into good music and genuine dance experiences with people, find somewhere else to go.

This is the first time I feel compelled to write a review just as I got home. We went to this place with a 16 people party and had a really bad experience. The waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing and took forever to get our drinks since "THE RAN OUT OF GLASSES!" they said there were a couple of big parties and used all the glasses... we thought it was a joke at first but after ordering water 5 times we kept getting the same excuse. Afterwards, the food came some plates were cold, 2 arrived when everyone else had finished; we also brought our own birthday cake and were told we were going to be charged $3 per person for a cutting fee since we were using their spoons and plates... Unbelievable!!! We finally spoke to the manager and she waived the cake cutting fee.. they didn't cut anyway and didn't even bring a proper knife for us to do so. At least, some of the food was good and the decor and inside is really nice. The place looks like a million bucks but treats the customers like it's charity. After a really not deserved $98 tip, we felt completely robbed and the experience in general was not good at all. The bottom line is: Luckie Food Lounge is a pretty building to look at but save your money, the food is overpriced and the service is beyond awful; do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.
