by Serene X. on You can get in free with a text message, need I say more? It was a breeze to get in before midnight. No need to worry about rushing your pre-game in your car, haha. It's difficult to find street parking and I wouldn't anyways because the area looks darker and shadier than the rest of hollywood. They have one dance floor which I wish is bigger. It's a lil too small and intimate for an edm night (friday). Maybe it's just me who needs to stop taking up so much room, hm who knows..? =P The sound system treats techno music like its his baby. It sounded orgasmic, down a few drinks and your ears will fucking bleed of pleasure. The crowd was weird but diverse. You'll see some older dudes from fucking Europe who'll try to talk to you. You'll see some dudes wearing painters hats. You'll see some dudes who'll stick out like sore thumbs because they loook lost and confused. All in all, it's a fun place to listen to some electronic music and dance! I LOVE their floor, it treats my twirls and spins very well, haha =P. Patio has a pretty nice atmosphere to it. They got heaters goin on, some house music, tables, benches, buddha, blah blah. Patio is definitely a good place to mingle and socialize. I'm pretty sure lots of people go to Vanguard just to chill up on their patio, haha. I'd come again soon, I miss their dance floor. ^_^
by Kayisha T. on For this Northern Yankee, this spot was very entertaining. A co worker of mine invited me out for New Years Eve. When we arrived it was somewhat dead I became slightly depressed. Honey! By 12:30 am it was so packed in there. Some southern crunk song came on and these bitches were up on the bar top dancing like Tyra Banks in Coyote Ugly. Sassy ass Southerners! The music was great, crowd was moving, and the drinks were watered down except the Martini's. Their menu consists of comfort food not bad.

It's not this elegant place where any one cares about what you're wearing. But the drinks get you ....fcu*ed up,and the music is good. they get a star for * Understanding bouncers: These guys are so cool,and understanding. If you are too drunk and you get kicked out ( never happened to me though lol). This one bouncer sat with me on someone's car and talked to me about everythingggg his daughter, my life , while my friends partied and i sobered up. and then he let me back in . ( its the big guy that wears the hats .. you know hes the best one !) *Brickwall: need i say more? * if you are entirly broke and you beg enough or you just dont want to give them you five dollars!,.. they give you a break. So i guess that's just another star for the cool ass bouncers.... I love them !.. just what a drunk girl needs after throwing up..a bouncer teddy bear.... lol
