by Serene X. on Came here for Drum and Bass Thursday. Amazing dnb, I'd come here again if I was in the mood for it. They also played some dubstep but it wasn't that great. This place gets way too fucking crowded and too hott. I could barely move my way through the patio because it was hella packed out there too. It was like stoners galore back there. There's only one toilet available at this place, ugh! What a pain! People don't come here to find a dance partner, hook up, or even a number. They come for drum and bass and that's awesome! Lots and lots of dudes here on Thursday.
by Arnold Clure on OOF. I don't think I have seen more mutants in a B-movie. I went to Temple on a Friday night to go along with a friend's plans and comforted by the fact that the friend she would be joining had a table reserved. We walked in and got escorted downstairs to find mediocre music, a five foot guy who thought it was cool to be wearing nerd glasses as a fashion statement (I think the statement he made was "Hi; I'm an idiot"), people who were living out their pole dancer wanna-be fantasies against a foot-wide concrete column, and women dancing barefoot on nastyass floors. And the requisite sharks/sexual deviants were also of course present; let me just say that I've gotten reaaallly good at saying "uh, NO" to guys who walk towards me with their pelvis thrust ahead in anticipation while they are still a foot away. So... If you are into 22-year-old bottled up testosterone grinding up against you, STDs, and hearing a song every 10 songs that you might want to dance to, go for it. Temple is just right for you. The one sole star goes to the incredibly polite and professional staff. They were the best thing about this place.
