by Donnie Velasques on This is a pretty good local place to go for a quick bite and a beer with friends, but I don't think the food is quite as good as it is made out to be in reviews. The Taco's are pretty good, but not amazingly flavorful or large. As I mentioned in my La Taqueria review, I might just be biased by the fact that I am more of a burritto and quesadilla fan personally. Still, good to have it in the neighberhood. Not much other Mexican food in Russian hill..
by Jasmine L. on The Mexican Village was our kickball league's game bar, so we'd all head over after each game. the bartenders and servers are really nice and the drinks are strong. i've never eaten the food mainly because i've seen it and it didn't look that appealing or that authentic. whether its salsa music or a DJ playing, the volume level is ridiculously loud. this is certainly not a place where i'd ever go, outside of hanging out with my kickball buddies and playing flip cup.
