The person rating the cork bar that liked the dominican food must have been toasted when she got there because they do not serve pictures fo sangria or dominican food!! I am glad she enjoyed the food and drink but it was not at the cork bar!

I LOVE POD!!! The food is so great, their sake mojitos are amazing! The atmosphere is great, friendly staff, and interesting furniture.

Talk about severe heart burn the next day... sliders were meh..my short rib was dry and service took forever. Adding 20% gratuity is straight up robbery especially when you wait over 20 minutes in between courses and I don't care how busy it is, if that's the case then this place should just be a club with simple finger food.

I've only lived in this neighborhood for almost 4 years and I'm JUST getting around to checking out Mamajuana. Shameful, I know. I'd heard good things about it, so a random stop on a Sunday evening was the thing to do for me and the BF. The food was very well prepared and flavorful. It's what I call "elite" Dominican food. There is a heavier focus on seafood items (there's only one beef dish and one lamb). The ceviche is very refreshing, with a slight sweetness that was welcome. The crab cakes are just okay; they could use more of their avocado aioli. The churrasco is marinated and seared, producing a wonderful flavor. The food overall was very very good. The place itself looks like that modern mix with rustic qualities...rather on the darker side of ambient. It can get quite loud and crazy around the bar, but its pretty spacious. GET THE SANGRIA. That thing is hella tasty. For the neighborhood, it's on the higher end of pricey. $30 sangria pitchers (but they're big pitchers), app averages between $10 and $15, entrees in the $18+ range. Our bill for 2 ended up around $115. I would go back for sure.

Best bar ever. I took my daughter and her friends their for her bachelorette party last weekend and they just love the bar. The bartenders were great and they treated us like gold. I have being going to the cork bar for a long time. It is just a great bar. I want to thank the bartenders for their hospitality. I have two favorite bartenders and they are really great.
