by faye s. on HUUUUGE fan of the arroz con pollo (Colombian style)! One of my favorite comfort foods, and Tierra Colombiana does it very well. It's also a huge portion so I was able to eat it the next day for lunch. The crab empanadas and cheese empanadas are very good also. At $2 each, the price is a little steep but the flavor is spot on. We tried their flan and it was SUPER sweet. Overall, a good place to go if you're craving comfort food with a little twist. Tip: you can park at the Rite Aid across the street.
by Winona Smuck on Decided to go to FLIP yesterday after reading all the reviews. I like the look of the restaurant....and it definitely stands out amongst all the other restaurants on howell mill. I sat at the bar and ordered my food to go. I was being really boring and opted not to try one of their burger creations. I got a plain burger with bacon and a side of fries. The price came out to 10.70. I thought it was reasonable. The fries were really good and the bacon added a wonderful flavor to the burger. I also liked the atmostphere and the frames with the tv's in them. I think this place will become the "HOTT SPOT" soon. Next on my list is the po burger. I like this place and will definitely be back again. They also have a great parking lot!
by Drew S. on The name makes it sound like a strip club, but make no mistake: it's one of the best concert halls in the city. This place is gorgeous. The lighting is perfect, the decor swank. If you get there early enough you can sit down (increasingly a requirement for my tired feet), though you'll have to choose your table carefully if you want to have a good view. You'll hear fine wherever you are, though. There's usually plenty of street parking nearby, but the earlier you get there the better you'll do, as you might expect. I think the only thing I don't like about this place is the bathroom attendants. I guess they're doing a good job and keeping it clean, but it's kinda awkward. I try to avoid situations where I don't know whether or how much to tip. I saw concerts as varied as Stars, the Charlatans UK, Gene, and Laurie Anderson here. Class acts, every one.
